The maintenance team would need to work on these:
Door contacts: Device that lets us know whether the door is open or closed.
ADA Buttons: Button with handicap sign that can be pushed/pressed, to open the door
Door Motors: Usually at the top of the door. They help the door close automatically.
Door strikes: Piece of metal that goes from the door into the door frame, to keep it locked.
Latch retractors: Device for pulling the door strike back, from the door frame, so that the door can open
Card readers: Device for reading cards and then automatically opens the door. The maintenance team would only work on card reader issues if there is no power to the card reader. That is, is when there is no visible light on the card reader. If the card reader is ripped or broken or hanging loosely, the network team would need to work on the issue.
Anything beyond the above should be handled by the network team.
