Task | Who Performs Task | Additional Notes |
Camera Cleaning |
MiTech technicians will perform camera cleaning. **If the effort requires a lift or is higher than a 12' ladder can safely reach, facilities will need to clean the dome. Otherwise, we can call a vendor to perform the cleaning and bill the district. |
Cleaning a camera is quite easy. Just use water or approved glass cleaning solution to clean the dome. |
Down Camera |
First **If the effort requires a lift or is higher than a 12' ladder can safely reach, the MiTech Network Team can remotely power cycle the camera. If this does not work, we can call a vendor to troubleshoot the camera and bill the district. Second/Emergency (Remote) |
The camera usually just needs to be power cycled. A facilities staff member can get on a ladder and just unplug the camera and plug it back in. If it is an emergency and the facilities staff is not immediately available, or if the camera is too high, the network team has most of the camera ports labeled and we can power cycle the camera from the switch. For emergencies, please call the helpdesk at 269-250-9280 to create the ticket and get it escalated to the network team. |
Camera Aiming, Repair, or Replacement | MiTech Site Coordinator | If a camera requires a repair or replacement, the MiTech district technology site coordinator will contact a vendor to coordinate the repair or replacement. |
